The decor is obviously designed but dark. Not very energy efficient and I would say expensive to light. The room was clean and modern, though with 8 lights on the room was still a bit dark. The breakfast buffet was good, better than most Irish hotels that we stayed at. Normally buffets do not cater for healthy eaters. Cheers Paul
Fantastic staff especially the waitresses in the dining room very helpful
Lack of basic training for the staff waitresses did knot know which was a water glass or wine glass/did not know about the wines on offer from only a short list/what were the cheeses on the cheese plate/ wrong food to the wrong table. Lots of small things just need to be trained better. Get staff training right and you will be a good Hotel.
its location for the bay run
The Maritime is an elegant hotel, more than anything I enjoyed the design of the room and the view. Even though the hotel is large I always felt my space was private, which is a good feeling.
On arrival the bathroom bin was full - apart from this everything was faultless.
A comfortable and well presented room, with all expected facilities. A basement car park with an intellectually challenging lift link to certain rooms !.
Menu and food preparation in retaurant seemed to suffer as result of mid week special offer.
The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and polite. The food was also of a good standard especially the breakfast. We had a great time in the bar and my wife was very impresssed with the wine selection. Our room was clean and spacious with all the necessary facilities
The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were quite hard
this was a luxury looking hotel,
paid 10 euros for use of internet, could not get on, as you had to stand up in front of tv with the keyboard. so I had to give up.
The staff, breakie and our lovely suite. We will be back.
It was all great and we would recommend to family & friends
Spacious, well equipped rooms very suitable for familys - we stayed in a suite. Breakfast v good. Can easily take a walk outisde into the nearby town
The evening meal was only 'fair'. The room we stayed in was quite a distance from the reception/restaurant area which is inconvenient when you have young kids. The lifts to rooms were very confusing - had to take 2 lifts depending on where you were going to.
Stayed at the hotel already for a weekend in April and really enjoyed it. A wonderfully luxurious and relaxing base to enjoy the gastronomy of Bantry and the breathtaking views over Bantry harbour. Definitely worth a visit!
its in an ideal location staff very friendly and the leisure centre is great to relax in
The hotel is in a great location for exploring West Cork and ideal for Bantry. It is luxurious with a lovely atmosphere.
The car parking is a little bit nerve-racking!
The restaurant and bar were very comfortable and the food wes excellent. the room was very well decorated and clean
We booked a balcony room at a great deal of extra cost for the seaview!!! We got a balcony that was to small to sit on over the n71 road which is an extremely busy road with a seaview if you leaned out over the balcony. we were on the first floor so it may be quiter if you are higher up but I doubt so
The hotel staff were great -- they were professional, polite, helpful, nothing was a problem.
bright, modern, clean rooms, tastefully furnished throughout. staff could not have been more helpful with enquiries, or welcoming/patient with our 2 young crazy sons. the suite we booked was a bargain, and the space and furnishings/facilities, including balcony, were fantastic
